Around the house are vineyards, green hillsides, and the characteristic landscape of Monferrato – an area renowned for its wines, culinary traditions, and beautiful small towns.
A house with plenty of space
Villa Gallo spans two floors and has a comfortable, relaxed layout that suits both a family holiday and trips for several generations or groups of friends who want to travel together.
The house has four well-sized bedrooms, providing plenty of space for the whole family or several guests. Two of the bedrooms have air conditioning, and two of the bedrooms have direct access to large balconies.
The heart of the house is the open-plan kitchen and living room. It is easy to cook together here, gather around the dining table, or simply enjoy a long Italian evening with something good in the glass. From the living area there is access to two balconies, making the outdoor spaces a natural extension of the house.
Beneath the house there is a large, unfinished basement with plenty of space. It gives the property extra potential – either as practical storage or for anyone who one day wishes to develop and furnish more of the home.
In the hills above Canelli
Villa Gallo is located on Via Mario Zecchini, up in the hills above Canelli. The location offers a completely different feeling than staying in the middle of town – here, nature and the wine landscape are close at hand, while Canelli lies just below.
Canelli is one of the most renowned wine towns in Piedmont and lies among the hills of Monferrato, surrounded by vineyards. The landscape is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and is especially known for Moscato d'Asti, Asti Spumante and the many historic wine cellars beneath the town.
From the house it is a short distance down to Canelli, where there are restaurants, cafés, shops and local everyday life. The town’s historic area climbs up the hillside with narrow streets, old buildings and panoramic viewpoints.
For anyone who enjoys wine, food and experiences, the location is particularly attractive. The famous underground wine cathedrals of Gancia, Bosca, Contratto and Coppo are located in and around the center, and the area is surrounded by wineries where producers can be visited and local wines tasted.
Life Outdoors
It is outdoors that Villa Gallo truly comes into its own.
The garden is lush and pleasantly planted, with both sunny and shaded areas. It offers the chance to find a favorite spot throughout the day – enjoy breakfast in the sun, retreat into the shade as the temperature rises, or settle into a sheltered corner with a book in the afternoon.
In the garden there is also the pool (7m x 3m) with sun deck, a natural gathering place on warm summer days. Here it is possible to swim, relax, sunbathe, or simply enjoy the view and the peaceful atmosphere.

A great starting point for Piedmont
Villa Gallo is also an excellent starting point for experiencing more of Piedmont. From Canelli, the roads wind through a landscape of vineyards, wooded hills, and small villages. The Moscato route from Canelli runs through this very landscape, with vineyards, hazelnut groves, and hills stretching towards the Langhe.
Days here can be filled with winery visits, long lunches, small villages, market trips, and restaurant visits – or with nothing more than a good book by the pool.
